Palm Beach, Florida, has beautiful beaches and a variety of restaurants where you can enjoy a fun date. Whether you want to celebrate a special occasion or just relax and have fun, you can find several great places nearby. Here are some of the best restaurants for date night in the area.

Renato’s

Renato’s is a gourmet Italian restaurant that has mirrors on the ceiling and a courtyard with a beautiful garden. The excellent food and elegant decor make dining here an unforgettable experience. Try the Ravioli con Funghi with wild mushrooms, cognac cream sauce, and black truffle caviar or the Salmone al Miele with Atlantic salmon glazed with wildflower honey, crab, corn flan, and green beans. 

You can choose from a large selection of fine wines by the glass or the bottle. For dessert, you can enjoy the Vesuvio di Cioccolato, chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream, Heath bar crumbles, and chocolate sauce. Tiramisu, crème brûlée, warm apple tarts, and fresh berries and fruits are available as well. Reservations are recommended, and you can visit Monday through Saturday. Lunch is from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and dinner happens from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Ta-Boo 

Ta-boo opened in 1941, and its roll-away roof lets people dine under the stars. Many famous figures have eaten here, including John F. Kennedy, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Frank Sinatra, Rod Stewart, and James Patterson. You can start with a shrimp cocktail, black bean chili, or smoked salmon with capers, red onions, and dill sauce. The brie and pear pizza has brie, pears, grapes, candied pecans, and red onion. With the salmon wrap, you’ll get bacon, lettuce, chopped poached salmon, tomato, red onion, and dill mayonnaise in a flour tortilla. 

You can also try a warm steak salad with filet mignon, mushrooms, sweet peppers, tomatoes, red onion, gorgonzola, mixed greens, and white balsamic vinaigrette. The sweet potato and coconut-crusted lemon sole has mango, mixed greens, sweet peppers, onions, green beans, and orange-walnut vinaigrette. Reservations are required, and you can visit from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Happy hour is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and shirts, hats, and gift certificates are available. This place is on Worth Avenue, and it’s surrounded by luxury shops with beautiful Spanish architecture. After your meal, you can browse some of these luxury stores or just enjoy some window shopping with your date. 

Agora Mediterranean Kitchen

Agora Mediterranean Kitchen is a Turkish restaurant with beautiful, ornate decor and great food. They use locally sourced ingredients, and they offer a variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes. Try the babaganoush, cooked eggplant with onions, tomatoes, and olive oil. Order the dolma for grape leaves stuffed with rice, pine nuts, currants, and fresh herbs. The saksuka has fried eggplants, potato, zucchini, and tomatoes. 

The grilled Aegean octopus is marinated in lavender, and it comes with red onions and tomatoes. Other options include garlic shrimp; a lamb shank; stuffed peppers; and chicken, lamb, shrimp, or salmon casserole. For dessert, try the baked rice pudding, baklava, banana pudding, chocolate cake, or Nutella crepe. This place is open on Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Café L’Europe

Café L’Europe is perfect for a romantic meal. It has beautiful arched mirrors and windows, blue velvet booths, candlelight, and wonderful fresh flower arrangements on many tables. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, pianist David Crohan plays live music. Outdoor dining is available, and the staff provides heaters during cool weather. You can start with a warm shitake mushroom salad, a grilled whole artichoke with sherry vinaigrette, scrambled egg with caviar, or sauteed foie gras. 

The roasted Maine lobster risotto comes with caviar and lobster bisque sauce, and the grilled scallops include asparagus and wild mushrooms. You can also try the roasted Long Island duck with blackberry sauce, potato, and carrot puree or the calf’s liver with onions, bacon, and caramelized apple. Café L’Europe has over 2,000 bottles of wine in their cellar, and they offer more than 40 types of wine by the glass. You can visit from Tuesday through Sunday starting at 5 p.m. Gift cards are available, and reservations are required. 

Sundy House

At Sundy House, you can enjoy fine dining, a luxurious inn, an acre of beautiful botanical gardens, and a freshwater pond. This place is in a historic home in Delray Beach, about 20 minutes away from Palm Beach. It’s the oldest home in the area, and Delray Beach’s first mayor, John Sundy, built it in 1902. This restored home is on the National Register of Historic Places. You can enjoy a romantic dinner among waterfalls and tranquil streams. There are plenty of gazebos, benches, and paths as well. 

Start with the lump crab cake with pomegranate, spaghetti squash, and caper aioli. For the main course, you can choose cioppino with lobster, wild rice, mussels, squid, and scallops or roasted chicken with carrots, whipped potatoes, and mushroom sauce. The pork shank comes with creamy polenta, Brussels sprouts, and mirepoix. You can also choose shrimp scampi with linguine, white wine sauce, garlic, and parmesan cheese. For brunch, order the Sundy Waffles with three Belgian waffles, berries, sausage, whipped cream, powdered sugar, and maple syrup. You can also get Nutella French toast bites with maple syrup and powdered sugar. 

You can visit on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Sundays, the brunch buffet includes mimosas or Bloody Marys, and they’re open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can make your meal part of a weekend getaway at one of Sundy House’s 11 unique guest suites. They’re among the gardens, and they have unique, luxurious decor and original artwork.
