Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds
Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds is located in West Palm Beach, about half an hour from Boca Raton. Fright Nights is one of the most anticipated Halloween festivals in the southeastern United States, and all the profits go to local charities. This haunted house has been running every year for more than two decades. It has four haunted buildings with live actors, scary monsters, and impressive special effects. There’s a haunted hotel, a haunted prison, a haunted insane asylum, and an apocalyptic wasteland.
Visitors will love the live music, carnival rides, food, and entertainment available at Fright Nights. You can see zombies, ghosts, evil clowns, and dark fairy tale creatures of all descriptions inside. Outside, you and your kids can enjoy haunted hayrides, carnival rides, corn mazes, and graveyards. Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds has repeatedly landed on Florida’s Must-See Haunts List, and the scare factor at this festival is high. You can also see new attractions every year.

Hours: The festival will be open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in October. You can visit from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursdays and from 6 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The haunted houses open every day at 7 p.m.
The Nightmare Village at Xtreme Action Park
Fort Lauderdale is only about 20 minutes away from Boca Raton and hosts a terrifying Nightmare Village during the spookiest month. It contains two haunted houses. The Carnival of Carnage features a troop of psychotic, bloodthirsty clowns, and The Seventh Gate is a cultist hellscape brought to Earth.
Visitors can keep themselves energized and refreshed at the Mysterious Green Fedora Bar. This is also a Halloween convention, and you can shop for merchandise at all the vendor tables. All of Xtreme Action Park’s regular attractions will also be open. They include a large classic arcade, a virtual reality arcade, a bowling alley, a laser tag arena, a skating rink, a rope challenge course, and a theater.
Fast Pass tickets are available, allowing visitors to skip to the front of the line at all event attractions. All visitors must be at least 13 years old, and an adult must accompany all minor visitors. Everyone must sign a waiver as well.

The Hotel of Horror
The Hotel of Horror is the most popular haunted hotel in nearby Fort Lauderdale and has four themes this year.
The first is The Walking Dead, and you can expect to see zombies of every description being hunted by a few brave souls. The second is Candyman, and it has lots of supernatural horror elements. The third is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which involves a thrilling chainsaw chase. The final theme is The Jack in the Box, and people terrified of clowns should watch out. Visitors of all ages are welcome, but the content here can be pretty scary. All children will get free Halloween candy inside.

The House of Horror Haunted Carnival
The House of Horror Haunted Carnival is located about 50 minutes away from Boca Raton in Miami. It’s one of the most frightening October attractions in the United States, and it’s sure to startle even the toughest visitor.
The haunted house at this event is called The Silent Mall, and visitors who make their way through silently can earn a prize. The Scare X Studios gaming experience is ideal for people who like high-tech with their horror. The Insanitorium is the second haunted house on offer, and it’s decorated as a Victorian insane asylum. The final major attraction is Drown Town, a village that a terrible hurricane wiped out with water. Food and carnival rides are available.

Hours: The House of Horror Haunted Carnival is open from Thursday, September 29, through Monday, October 31. The hours on Thursday and Monday are from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, it’s open from 5:30 p.m. to midnight and on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The haunted houses open every day at 7 p.m.
Paranoia Miami
The haunted house at Paranoia Miami is terrifying. Visitors are locked in on one side and must escape the other. The Paranoia Miami haunted house is also a maze and an escape experience. It’s as horrifying as it is challenging, so no minors are allowed inside unsupervised.
This experience is so intense that everyone who goes inside gets a safe word. If Paranoia Miami becomes too scary to handle, a visitor can speak the safe word, and a staff member will escort them out. An acting troop called The Scared Players does most of the heavy lifting where Paranoia Miami is concerned so that you can see performances from professionals. Birthday parties are available during October, and you can give someone you love a terrifying treat on their special day.
