Titan Funding is here with all the info you need, so check out this list of electric charging stations in Boca Raton, Florida.
Public Tesla Station
This EV charging center is in a shopping complex on 2801 N. Federal Highway. Whichever charging system your car needs, this public charging location offers fast charging for both main types. CCS is the charging system designed by the European Automobile Association, while CHAdeMO is from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association. All EV makes and models can be charged using the four Tesla-brand chargers and the two Clipper Creek chargers. You’ll find them at the southern end of the parking lot, away from the Diamonds by Raymond Lee store.
Charge Point Station
Also on 2801 N. Federal Highway and directly across from the Diamonds by Raymond Lee store, you’ll find a Charge Point charging station, which is open 24/7 and offers both CHAdeMO and CCS charge slots. Whether you visit the Tesla or Charge Point stations, the parking lot in this location is well lit, and many nearby businesses and public places have free Wi-Fi.
EVgo Charging Station
EVgo is the largest public EV fast-charging network in the United States, and it’s one that is proud to run exclusively on renewable energy sources. Located at 6000 Glades Road, the station has several charging-port spaces in a shaded parking lot next to the Nordstrom department store. If you haven’t already signed up for a low-cost EVgo plan, you can do it on the spot here or at another EVgo charging station nearby for easy access to fast charging.
Electrify America Station
Are you looking for Level 3 charging? There is another location in the same shopping center as the EVgo station that offers Electrify America fast chargers. There are three Level 3 charging ports available here: CHAdeMO 375 A at 150 kW, J-1772 375 A at 150 kW, and J-1772 875 A at 350 kW. Given their fast working speed, at least one is likely to be available most of the day.
SemaConnect Charging Station
Located in the same parking complex as a Clive Daniel Home store and close to the Greystar apartment complex, this station is one of many SemaConnect EV charging locations found across the country. The new Series 6 charging stations from SemaConnect are ENERGY STAR certified. The brand also provides chargers for individual homes. The neighborhood’s other green additions include ENERGY STAR-certified stainless-steel appliances, new LED lights, and a community bicycle program.
Greenwise Market at Lakeside Center
The Publix parking lot on 8210 Glades Road offers two J-1772 connector Level 1 charging spots. These non-networked stations are only available to customers shopping at the Publix market during store business hours.
Schmidt Parking Garage
Floors one through four of the Schmidt Parking Garage feature 24 plugs with 7.2 kW charging capacity spread along the west walls. Available 24/7 and with second-floor accessibility parking for people with disabilities, this is an excellent option for EV drivers who park in this part of Boca Raton.
Boca Raton City Hall
If you park around City Hall at 201 W. Palmetto Park Road, you can find two Schneider charging stations, each with two available port spaces. One station is located on the parking lot’s easternmost row, and the other is in the southwest corner in front of City Hall. There are a total of six J-1772 plugs available at 6.48 kW.

Tips on Electric Charging in Boca Raton, Florida
There are even more charging stations available at the parking lots of some businesses throughout Boca Raton, such as two 24-hour Blink Charging Stations around the Sea Ranch Club of Boca. Overall, the logistics of charging your EV is relatively easy for the average commuter. Making sure you charge before getting to 30% can help ensure you never cut it too close. Some other tips include:
- Keeping your EV out of the summer heat, such as in a garage or parking lot.
- Using GPS navigation and planning your drives efficiently.
- Avoiding exclusively using the highest available charge type, such as Level 2 or 3, as it can be harder on the battery.
- Charging up to 80% instead of to full. This is better for the battery and gives you room to utilize regenerative braking.
- Not leaving your car plugged in after charging it sufficiently or to 100%.
Keep in mind that, with pretty much every charging station company, getting a membership will lead to a lower rate per minute of charging. If you can find one company that offers easily reachable charging stations for your schedule, getting a membership with them is well worth the cost. This small investment is more likely to work out than trying to always charge at only publicly available, entirely free charging stations.
